Engineered for both waterproofing and crack isolation, this advanced waterproofing solution allows installers to work faster and smarter using a trowel-on waterproofing method. HYDRO BAN 1 is designed for maximum efficiency — whether you apply it by brush or take full advantage of its waterproofing by trowel technology.
With its self-gauging application, the trowel serves as a built-in thickness guide, removing the guesswork and minimizing application stress during application. Its color-changing cure indicator gives instant visual confirmation when the membrane is ready for flood testing — in as little as 2 hours after cure. - Equipped with Microban® antimicrobial technology to protect the waterproofing membrane † HYDRO BAN® 1 can be flood tested in 2 to 3 hours when the waterproofing membrane is cured and the substrate is 70°F (21°C) and 50% RH or greater for 2 hours. The curing time period starts when the HYDRO BAN 1 color has changed from a hi-vis green to a dark shade indicating a cured liquid waterproofing membrane. If the substrate and the air temperature are lower than 70°F (21°C) and 50% RH, flood testing can not be performed until the HYDRO BAN 1 color has changed from a light to a darker shade and then 24 hours has lapsed.
