CSI/CEN Programs and Descriptions

The following programs each carry a 0.1 CSICEU

CSI-01 Water as Design Medium

This educational seminar will consider how ceramic tile and stone can be used in water features. It will provide helpful information to architects and specifiers on what to consider when using tile and stone in wet areas.

CSI-03 Tile and Stone Installation 101

This generic educational seminar gives the design practitioner and/or construction manager the practical information necessary to properly specify the correct tile for a specific situation and the job appropriate installation technique.

CSI-04 Direct Adhered Facade Systems

Tile and stone are beautiful and functional products when used on building facades. Learn how ceramic tile and stone can be used to clad the exteriors of buildings to create beautiful design features. This educational seminar considers two actual job case studies that employ two different direct adhered facade installation methods and techniques.

CSI-09 Proper Surface Preparation for Successful Installations

A successful and functional tile and stone application is only as good as its base or substrate. This generic educational seminar will provide architects and specifiers with information on how to correctly prepare substrates to receive ceramic tile and stone finishes. A discussion of industry standards will be considered as well as the various methods and techniques that can be used to effectively prepare substrates.

CSI-10 Tile and Stone and the Fight Against Mold

There has been a lot said about mold and mildew. What information is truly accurate? What causes mold and mildew on tile and stone applications? This educational seminar will provide architects and specifiers with information on how to specify and use tile and stone to avoid the problem of mold and mildew. Learn how ceramic tile and stone fits in with the green building movement.
